A rare iron phosphate discovered in 1817, Vivianite displays some of the most unique and visually stunning features of any mineral or crystal. When held up to light, the otherwise unassuming black blades of crystal reveal a rich, emerald green transparency. Certain angles reveal striking hues of purple, electric blue, and peacock greens. Layered sheets of Vivianite form striations that, when combined with various natural etchings and channels across its surface, paint a beautiful and textured canvas.
