Item Description
This beautiful, multi-layered Green Mica specimen features a compression of several Mica "books" at multiple angles, creating dazzling reflections in any lighting condition. In diffused lighting conditions (normal house lighting) the Mica will appear, for the most part, a standard silvery-gray color, with tinges of green hues that are most prominently seen when backlit. However, when the Mica is lit by a polarized source, such as an LED, the sheets of Mica turn an astounding olive-green color.
To better achieve this color, it's best to have the Mica in a darker area, away from any standard diffused "house lights." The photos show the Mica in both lighting conditions. This specimen also features growths of black Tourmaline crystals.
